Sarah Livingston (1777–1833)

Sarah Livingston (1777–1833). Daughter of Gilbert Livingston (1742–1806) and Catharine Crannell (1745–1830). Married U.S. Supreme Court Justice Smith Thompson (1768–1843) — who is in this DB. Thompson was also a NY Chief Justice, Secretary of the Navy under President Monroe, and Associate Justice of the Supreme Court from 1823 until his death in 1843. Their marriage placed a direct Livingston granddaughter of Henry Livingston Sr. on the Supreme Court.
