Catharine Crannell (1744–1803)

Daughter of Bartholomew Crannell, a prominent Poughkeepsie lawyer. Married Gilbert Livingston in 1763, performed by Rev. Chauncey Graham. The Crannells were Tory loyalists during the Revolution, creating tension with the patriot Livingstons. Her father and brother-in-law Rev. John Beardsley eventually emigrated to New Brunswick, Canada.
