Biography

Lucinetta 'Lucy' Halsted was the daughter of Caleb O. Halsted (c.1792–1872), president of the Bank of the Manhattan Company. She married Congressman John Kean (1814–1895) and became mistress of Liberty Hall in Union, New Jersey.
