Susan Elizabeth Fish LeRoy (1808–1892)

Eldest child of Col. Nicholas Fish and Elizabeth Stuyvesant. Older sister of Hamilton Fish. Married Daniel LeRoy (1799–1885) of the wealthy New York merchant family. Her daughters Mary Augusta LeRoy (1829–1905, m. Edward King) and Elizabeth Stuyvesant LeRoy (1834–1883, m. George Warren Dresser) carried the Stuyvesant-Fish-LeRoy bloodline into the Dresser, King, and Neilson families. A great-granddaughter, Helen Neilson Armstrong, married David Maitland Armstrong; their son Hamilton Fish Armstrong (1893–1973) edited Foreign Affairs magazine for 44 years.
