Philip Peter Livingston (1740–1810)

"Gentleman Phil" Livingston. Eldest son of Peter Van Brugh Livingston (1710–1792, president of the NY Provincial Congress) and Mary Alexander (1721–1767, sister of William Alexander, Lord Stirling). Born November 10, 1740; died 1810. Married Cornelia "Kitty" Van Horne, daughter of David Van Horne and Anna French. Father of Peter Van Brugh Livingston Jr. (1792–1868, US Chargé d'affaires to Ecuador) and Charles Ludlow Livingston (Speaker of the NY Assembly).
