Maturin Livingston Jr. (1816–1888)

Maturin Livingston Jr. (March 4, 1816 – November 29, 1888). American merchant. Son of Judge Maturin Livingston (1769–1847) and Margaret Lewis (1780–1860). Born in Staatsburg, NY. One of 12 children, including his sister Angelica who married Alexander Hamilton Jr. Through his mother Margaret Lewis, grandson of Governor Morgan Lewis and Gertrude (Livingston) Lewis of Clermont. Paternal grandparents: Robert James Livingston and Susanna Smith (sister of Chief Justice William Smith).
