Katharine Taylor Winthrop Kean (1866–1943)

Daughter of Robert Winthrop (1833–1892) and Kate Wilson Taylor (1839–1925), descendant of the Winthrop family of Massachusetts (descending from John Winthrop, first Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony). Married Senator Hamilton Fish Kean at St. Thomas Church, New York City, in 1888. Mother of U.S. Congressman Robert Winthrop Kean and grandmother of Governor Thomas Howard Kean of New Jersey. Through her the Kean line merged with the Winthrop-Dudley family tree of early New England.
