Biography
Julia Livingston Delafield married Dr. Edward Delafield (1794–1875), a pioneering New York ophthalmologist and founder of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She authored the two-volume 'Biographies of Francis Lewis and Morgan Lewis' (1877), preserving the family history of her Welsh-American Lewis ancestors and her grandfather, New York Governor Morgan Lewis.
