Biography
Angelica Livingston (1820–1896). Daughter of Judge Maturin Livingston (1769–1847) and Margaret Lewis (1780–1860). Granddaughter of Governor Morgan Lewis and great-granddaughter of Chancellor Robert R. Livingston's brother Judge Robert Livingston. Married Alexander Hamilton Jr. (1816–1889), son of James Alexander Hamilton and grandson of Alexander Hamilton, first Secretary of the Treasury. Their marriage definitively united the Livingston and Hamilton dynasties two generations after Alexander Hamilton's duel with Aaron Burr.
