Hamilton Fish II (1849–1936)

Eldest son of Secretary of State Hamilton Fish and Julia Kean Fish. Graduated Columbia College. Served in the New York State Assembly (1874–1895, Speaker 1895) and one term in the U.S. House of Representatives (1909–1911). Father of U.S. Congressman Hamilton Fish III (1888–1991), a 12-term Republican congressman and leading anti-interventionist before WWII. Married Emily Mann. Grandfather of U.S. Congressman Hamilton Fish IV (1926–1996) and great-grandfather of U.S. Congressman Hamilton Fish V (b. 1951) — five generations of Hamilton Fish politicians in Congress.
