Elizabeth Ward (1733–1818)

Wife of Joshua Totman and mother of Thomas Totman. NAME NOTE: her maiden name was Ward, but she is recorded in many genealogies and in the Jamestowne Society Lineage Paper Project as 'Elizabeth Rogers' because Rogers was her first married surname (she was a Rogers widow when she married Joshua, hence 'Elizabeth (Ward) Rogers'). The Totman son 'Ward Totman' was almost certainly named for this Ward line. Born 25 October 1733 at Plymouth, Massachusetts; married Joshua Totman 10 August 1756 (also recorded 9 July 1756); died 18 May 1818 at Buckland, Franklin County, Massachusetts, aged 84. Direct ancestor through her son Thomas Totman.
