Ann Home Shippen (1763–1841)

Daughter of Dr. William Shippen Jr., a prominent Philadelphia physician and professor of anatomy at the University of Pennsylvania. Married Henry Beekman Livingston in 1781. The marriage was unhappy, and they separated. She kept notable diaries documenting Philadelphia and New York society.
