Samuel Herrick Butler (1785–1851)

Husband of Judith Lewis Livingston and father of Courtland Philip Livingston Butler — a rung of the Bush descent line. Born 1785 at Bennington, Vermont (records differ on 12 March vs. 12 February), son of Nathaniel Butler (1761–1829) and Sarah Herrick (1764–c.1823). Married Judith Livingston on 26 June 1806 at Waterford, Saratoga County, New York; the family later settled at Columbus, Ohio, where he died 13 December 1851. Buried at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus. (His parents Nathaniel Butler and Sarah Herrick are documented future targets.)
