Robert Montgomery Livingston (1790–1838)

Robert Montgomery Livingston (1790–1838). Son of John R. Livingston (1755–1851) and his second wife Eliza McEvers (d. 1810). Named after his uncle General Richard Montgomery (husband of Janet Livingston). Married Sarah Barclay Bache in 1811 — Sarah was the great-great-granddaughter of Benjamin Franklin (daughter of Richard Bache, who married Franklin's daughter Sarah Franklin Bache). This marriage established a Livingston-Franklin family connection.
