First wife of Robert Livingston, 3rd Lord of the Manor. Granddaughter of Rip Van Dam, who served as Acting Governor of New York (1731–1732). Married Robert Livingston on 20 May 1731 in Albany. Mother of at least 10 children. Maria managed the household at the vast Livingston Manor estate during its peak years.
