Elizabeth Slade Pierce (1822–1901)

Wife of Courtland Philip Livingston Butler (married 16 December 1840 at Buffalo, New York) and mother of Mary Elizabeth Butler — a rung of the Bush descent line. Born 22 March 1822 at Providence, Rhode Island; died 1 March 1901 at Columbus, Ohio. Mother of eight children, including the Impressionist painter Theodore Earl Butler, who married into Claude Monet's household at Giverny (a documented future target). Buried at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus.
