Elizabeth Livingston (1761–1787)
1761–1787
Biography
Daughter of Peter Van Brugh Livingston (1710–1792) and Mary Alexander (1721–1767). Married in 1787 Louis-Guillaume Otto (1754–1817), French diplomat in America who became Napoleon's envoy and later Comte de Mosloy. After Elizabeth's early death in 1787 (in childbirth), Otto married her niece America-Francis Saint John de Crèvecoeur. Elizabeth's marriage produced a direct Livingston link to the French diplomatic corps and Napoleonic court.
