Dorothy Walker Bush (1901–1992)

Wife of Senator Prescott Sheldon Bush (married 6 August 1921 at Kennebunkport, Maine), mother of President George H. W. Bush, and grandmother of President George W. Bush. Born 1 July 1901 near Walker's Point, Maine, daughter of George Herbert Walker and Lucretia "Loulie" Wear (both documented future targets — her father is the namesake of golf's Walker Cup and of both presidents' middle names). Mother of five children: Prescott Jr., George H. W., Nancy, Jonathan, and William "Bucky" Bush. Died 19 November 1992 at Greenwich, Connecticut; buried beside her husband at Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich.
